Background: The prevalence of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in-fection was 1.2% in the Democratic Republic of Congo, according to the De-mographic Health Study report in 2014. In 2012, the severe failure rate to first-line ART in Kinshasa was estimated at more than 16%.
